[history]
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said she will oppose President Bush's nominee to a key federal appellate court Thursday when the Senate Judiciary Committee votes on her nomination.
Feinstein, who is expected to cast a decisive vote, had not taken a stance on the nomination of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carolyn Kuhl until late Wednesday afternoon. Her decision makes it more likely that Democrats on the committee would unite against Kuhl.

This circuit should be closed and its cases, not it's people, sent to the adjoining circuits. Newly appointed judges to "kick it up a notch" so to speak.

Oh, no! The Dimocraps will oppose a judicial nominee? I really hope the Dimocraps keep up their obstructionsim and WE document their arguments well - for the purpose of 2004 elections. In the meantime, the 9th Circus would do well to get rid of the clowns but it won't happen with Dimocraps having their way.

James Madison would have shot Feinstein for being a traitor
if the two ever crossed paths. That's after he spat in her face.

"Democrats have stalled two other Bush nominees, Washington lawyer Miguel Estrada and Texas judge Priscilla Owen, by launching filibusters against them."
.......this is not as bad as it sounds in the long run....all those filibusters soak up a lot of Liberal energy....W still has another 6 years to keep appointing judges who understand the Constitiution....we'll eventually wear the Libs down....
BTW the first job my daughter had out of law school was at the 11th Circuit Court....it was fairly liberal, but even those Judges used to make jokes about the 9th....they were a laughing stock among their peers....

What could the President be thinking in nominating a non-Communist to the 9th!
Really! What a cowboy!
How insensitive of him, as in, "Yo, Fineswine! Bite me!"
tsktsktsktsk... ;^)

OK. Recess appointment. If they won't let her come to a vote to fget on the bench then make them come to a vote to try to get her off the bench.
