Teams of agents from the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), working with U.S. military authorities in Iraq, have recovered nearly 700 artifacts and located 39,400 manuscripts missing from the National Museum in Baghdad.
"The recovery of these items was the direct result of a superb, cooperative effort between U.S. law enforcement, the U.S. military and the Iraqi people," said ICE acting Assistant Secretary Michael J. Garcia. "While we are pleased with the results thus far, there is clearly more work to be done.

The media forgot to even mention that the Museums in Afghanistan were virtually destroyed by the Taliban who destroyed all artwork, sculpture and ancient artifacts that portrayed human figures. A devistating loss. But the media was neutral to defensive about the Talibasn. But given a chance to embarass and shqame the Republicans, they have pumped this Iraq looting story now for 5 full weeks.

At the time, the did mention the intent and later, the shelling of the oldest stone Buddahs in Afghanistan. Apparently the left thought they could make a difference. Nope. Funny how they have forgotten that in their rush to denigrate the US Military and W.
