I was at the 7-11 and saw a USA Today on the counter.

I took a peek at it and, sure 'nuff, there on the front page was GWB...IN HIS FLIGHT SUIT! The Headline, which no one will notice, said "Bush landing causes controversy".

LOL!

President Bush greets Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen in the Oval Office at the White House Thursday, May 8, 2003. On Thursday, the president was welcoming a raft of his supporters on Iraq to the White House, having breakfast with the prime minister, who has agreed to send peacekeepers to Iraq.

Bush Upbeat on Mideast Peacemaking

WASHINGTON - President Bush was upbeat Thursday about Mideast peace prospects, attributing his optimism to the appointment of a new Palestinian prime minister.

"Of course we are going to make progress, yes we will make progress, absolutely," Bush told reporters before lunching at the White House with Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, the emir of Qatar and an ally in the U.S. war with Iraq.

President George W. Bush meets with Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of Qatar, in the Oval Office of the White House, May 8, 2003. Bush said he was optimistic about making progress toward Middle East peace despite Israeli-Palestinian violence ahead of a weekend visit to the region by Secretary of State Colin Powell.

I was trying to remember who the other senator from West Virginia is. I thought it was DuPont. So I did a Google on "senator dupont" and found he is from Delaware. Darn, I was going to laugh at their having such a bluenose for their junior senator.

So then I searched on "West Virginia senator" and found, indeed, it isn't Dupont....it's Rockefeller! LOL!

Here is the latest, it may change

Two American Soldiers Killed in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Two American soldiers were killed Thursday in separate attacks — at least one of them a bold daylight shooting — in Baghdad, military officials said. At least one other soldier was injured when a U.S. vehicle hit an explosive in part of the city believed to have been cleared of land mines.

In the most brazen attack, an unidentified Iraqi walked up to a soldier on a bridge and opened fire with a pistol, apparently at close range, according to senior U.S. Army officers in Baghdad who had heard reports of the shooting.
