Graham has a snowball's chance on South Beach in August of being nominated. His weirdness will be fully exposed on the campaign trail.

I've been busy doing nothing!

Graham is really weird? How so, besides that dumb daily journal he keeps? I mean, is he a freakazoid or what? How does he manage to keep winning elections?

If you still see our favorite judge, tell him I still pray for his well-being and I hope he's getting ready for another recount!

In addition to the journal, he's just acting strange. Even yesterday during his announcement he seemed to have moments of confusion. His health isn't the best, and I think if I were his friend I would advise him not to run. He doesn't have a chance and I don't think he'll even be seriously considered for the VP post, either.

I had lunch with The Judge today! Unfortunately he was just passed over for a seat on a federal bench (I'm not sure at what level.) Still, I think he has a good chance for the next vacancy.

Sorry our judge didn't get the appointment.

If that woman shown on TV who's wearing the red outfit and playing with her earring is Mrs. Graham, then she's not an assest either!

Frist is shaping up to be Trent Lott II.

DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THIS WAS THE REASON THAT HE WAS BROUGHT IN BY GW & the "Two-Party Cartel"? This is the exact reason why for 10+ years I & others have been saying that NOTHING will change as long as you vote in this cartel. The justice, executive, legislative branch cover each other or they blackmail them into submission. If any of you ever think that this governmant is going to exert a TRUE conservative agenda you are as ignorant as those Dixie Chicks.

It's pointless to try to convince people [of your factual statements]. As long as the general American public treats professional sports games as more interesting than their children, view dating reality shows as the ideal form of romance and are constantly indoctrinated to fear something new every summer (SARS, kidnappings, shark attacks and West Nile Virus) they will never see that there are alternatives to the Republicans and Democrats.

I think everyone is getting a little hot and the water was just put on the stove. Grassley is bringing a new tax bill out that is 550 billion and there are a lot of "stories" in all the papers about new republicans doing unusual things to change the senate rules. I have a feeling there will be some crow eaten here if people do not slow down.

Does anyone doubt that we will have a budget this fiscal year instead of what happened last year? This is a general Freep observation not directed at you Mr Clintonh8r.

I think there's a lot of frustration that the RATs are essentially running the senate with a minority plus a few RINOs. The real problem is that we don't see them paying any price for this behavior.

Apparently a lot of people on this thread haven't kept up with the news.

The Repubs are afraid that if they rid the world of the filibuster on nominees that they'll not be able to use it themselves in the future.

I worried about the constitution. If it says that the president and the senate have to cooperate on getting judges on the bench, then, by God, they should get the work done. The Senate shouldn't be allowed to have a rule that prevents the Constitution from being implemented. The President would be pilloried if he just refused to nominate people when a vacancy came up.

I mean, anyone can be an asshole and hold up the process.
