Since Bush had flown in to the carrier in a military jet, wasn't a flight suit appropriate or even mandatory? And since Bush WAS a pilot in the National Guard, it's not as if he was playing a role he'd never done in real life. Moreover, unlike Dukakis in the tank, Bush looked like he BELONGED in that flight suit.

A final thought - the Dems are just mad because Bush LOOKED GOOD in that flight suit, so they're trying to spoil the good PR it generated.

Perfectly appropriate... And for the slimey Dems and talking heads who disparage (sp?) Bush's "National Guard" experience, they should be reminded that about 20-30% of the force in Iraq was Reservists, and they did an outstanding job.
