There is a great Spanish wine called "Rioja" which is as good as or better than most of the French Bordeaus. You can get it at any liquor store or wine store for about $10-15. We have been drinking it for some time because it is good and cheaper than the French Wines. Try it I'm sure you will enjoy.

Try an Argentinian Malbec. Not French and really affordable.

It's not the name or label of a product, it's the land the product comes from. I, had wonderful french toast today made from a friends fresh chicken eggs and homemade honeyoat bread. The only thing missing wash fresh milk, but hey i dont live near a dairy. Yes, I still call it french toast. I havent heard any good catchy new names for it yet. How bout Louisiana toast, or eggs-over-loaf...

''We're going to talk directly to the American people,'' says Robin Massee, a tourism spokeswoman

I certainly hope she comes to talk to me. I'd be delighted to clue her in. :0)

We have a nisson 240sx with over 200K miles on it and it is still running great. It's time to look for another car in the next few months and I'm in a bind. I am boycoting the French but this is the best made car we have ever had. Our previous cars were all American made (Ford, Chevy, Dodge)and after 100k miles they all had problems.

In 1986 we bought a brand new Dodge and it had a design-flaw in the front-end steering/transmission and and with 200 miles on it, the warranties wouldn't cover it. It ran until 80k miles but it didn't run well. After being burned I am wary of buying another American made car.

Suggestions? We are looking for a car that is fun to drive, comfortable, and very dependable.

wqas scanning posts, um a little late maybe but try a Saturn, American made, cheap and very sound. I bought mine used with 80K miles. It has 145k miles now and I have had no major work done, only tuneups, oil, brake job, new calipurs in back at 130k, and a shift cable. all in all I have had the car 4 years and have spent about $1500 to maintain it. That is less then $400 a year ($30/month).

Their not hurtin' as much as they say they are. Remember, first off this is France. They're full of crap. 10% is a drop, a trickle, nada. They make it sound as if their entire economy is based on American sales of, well, everything. It's not. But they're greeding little b-stards. Americans are an easy mark for a quick buck, generous tippers and usually easily accomodated.

But NOWHERE, YET, INSOFARASNOW, CURRENTLY, has any Frog hinted at or flat out apologized for globally campaigning against our servicemen and woman.

To french commerce, it's purely a capitalistic problem. What they haven't figured out yet is that this boycott is on a moralistic plain. Commerce is our chosen weapon.

You think libs are funny when they lose, wait till france starts cluckin' and coughin' and showering our airwaves with "feed france" commercials or something close.
So far, it's just a meow, and a whine.

Bring on the hairy armpit commercials!!!!!
