The anti-gun groups have every reason to fear concealed-carry. As a certified CCW instructor in Kentucky (also NRA pistol certified) I can tell you that women who have no gun experience and are somewhat afraid of guns overcome that fear, make the decision to get a CCW and begin carrying. They quickly feel more secure and in control of their lives. Many decide they "like" shooting and move on into some form of recreational use of firearms.
Minn. will never be the same, if CCW passes IMO.

MN passes, and the Gov'ner signed, their CCW changes last week. "Shall issue" instead of "may issue" now. Some regs got tighter, but it no longer depends on "need" and cronyism.
Now if we can just get the USSC to understand the words "Supreme law of the Land" and "shall not be infringed". Then we'd REALLY have some RKBA to be proud of....

Shooting is a lot of fun. I compete in bullseye pistol and like to shoot in PPC. It is also a lot of satisfaction, when I can hit the X ring on target at 600 yards.
In general, it is easier to teach women how to shoot. It may well be because women are not under as much pressure over their egos.
Furthermore, it also seems that women have an easier time of dealing with the aftermath of a confrontation. It is probably, because women are not under the pressure to be able to physically repel their assailant. Women face the option their are weaker physically, and need the firearm to defend themselves.

I have an idea. Perhaps some people on FR with daughters should petition the GSUSA to establish a rifle shooting activity badge, much like the BSA has rifle shooting AND shotgun shooting merit badges.
