I haven't seen the movie but I did read the book version. If anything the Striker charecter was closer to a Nazi than Islamist

I don't get this core part:

Why can't he be a Muslim? Are all 'evil' people supposed to be Christian, or Jewish, or Hindu, or some godless worshippers of Cthulu?

Furthermore, there is no evidence (or explanation for the unenlightened) for why wearing a ring with "Allah" in Arabic would be sacriligious when it's written on several countries' flags.

I just got back from seeing this movie; I did NOT, in any way , see the "ring" this Islamofacist group refers to. If anything, I thought the villan was your stereotypical "Bad White Man".
