I think it should be disbanded all at once. The problem is that the US Senate, the House and the Administration, like so many before, like to talk tough and then - go ahead and re-up our UN "dues" to the tune of billions. Politicans don't have the guts to tell the truth and to act on that truth.

What battle?
US kicks the UN out and gives it no more money. UN fold and US wins.
Don't need to be President or a General in that war to figure it out.

Coalition of the free vs. the collection of collectivists. It's time to part company with parasites, extortionists and enablers. Like terrorists...they are anti-freedom. Throughout human history there has been only one beacon of FREEDOM. Never in the course of human existence have so many individuals been FREE. Never in the course of human existence have so many individuals from other nations been FREED by one nation. The true meaning of this nation's creed mirrors the greatness of life itself.

There are nearly 130 agencies and organizations operating within the U.N. system, each oversees programs that require vast sums of money and massive bureaucracies......... as described in "Our Global Neighborhood," the report of the Commission on Global Governance. These programs operate outside the spotlight of international media. There is little doubt that they all stink with a foul smell so rank that it would make Kofi's "oil for food" irregularities smell like roses. The Framework Convention on Climate Change is but one of these 130 U.N. agencies............ it could approach criminal if anyone were looking. We tracked five environmental organizations that were listed as "executing agency" or "collaborating organization" for two years on grants totaling $792,705,000, in 1998, and more than $800 million in 1999.
===========================
Guys, Just
"five environmental" organizations recieved the bulk of U.S. of A. "contributions" to the U.N. in '97 and '98 {IF our "contributions" are still in the area of $1 billion per year}. RICO corruption on a global scale. Peace and love, George.

The U.N. suffered a major blow when the United States, along with 65 other nations, undertook the task of removing Saddam Hussein over the objections of the U.N., France, Russia, Germany and the international professional protesters. That's a fine way of referring to the peace pukes.

There is already a bill in the House to get us out of the UN. The same sponsor has one to keep us from signing back on to UNESCO.
