You have, apparently, not read the original article. If you have and are posting this kind of crap, I first assumed that you once worked in the White House basement during Clinton’s reign.

You are wrong about the money Bennett is “claimed” to have bet. You are wrong about the odds on high stakes video poker and slots. You are wrong about your characterization of his personal life because you obviously don’t know him. You are making wild and bizarre statements.

To see what was what, I decided to check your references.

Your references include Thomas Fleming who did a hatchet job on Bennett and Kristol from the fever swamps of the loony right and who opposed the war in Iraq for many of the same reasons as the Left. He admires Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich for their principles. After reading your references I realize you are not a Liberal troll, you are a flaming kook with some kind of psychological problem with mainstream conservatives.

Don’t bother responding, I have no wish to get into a discussion with you. I am posting this to let people know what kind of thing they are dealing with.

If you are going to slander, I am going to respond; usually I think better about fellow class of 98 FR registrants, but you are out there.

I have no idea what he bet or lost because it has not been reported; I was speculating. I am not wrong about the odds; click the link I provided for someone who was at least interested in the topic.

So, you concede that in your opinion is that Kristol and Bennett represent conservatism where as Fleming does note represent 'real' conservative opinion?

I saw no crossover, but nice try. Fleming supported the stand of the Pope, Ron Paul, the John Birch Society et al and honest a significant portion of conservative intelelctuals to the extent that David Frum, had to declare all against the war to be against the country rather than deal with debate.

I personally had to deal with the slings and arrows of being called an anti-Semite by absurdist simpletons who did recognize my screen name is the character in a Jewish ladies book. But I lived through the tactics of the Left so it really did not bother me as much as I might make it seem.

In the age of the internet you can provide a link to where he does this so people can see just what principals he is supporting, in the case of Kucinich, his pro-life stance prior to the flip-flop.

Okay, to each his own, but I am not so smitten with the self-appointed conservative heirarchy in DC that I can't see a phony like Mssr.Bennett.
