Hillary Clinton - - my worst nightmare. I remember well the N Y Senate race and just how fickle Democrat voters are.

How can anyone worry about a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, especially when remembering that President Clinton diverted 100 mMillion dollars from the National Campaign to New York - a mistake that cost Al Gore the Presidency (and the reason Tipper and Hillary had the blowout during the election season) along with sacrificing a dozen senate and congressional races to elect the junior senator from New York. If the gamble was worth it, then the democrats have to run Hillary in 2004 because of the high investment in her senate campaign; they know if they wait until 2008 that they will have to defend her at a high cost in 2006, and that Chuck the Smuch will possibly retire in NY as well leaving too much turf without coattails.

Hillary plans to run in 2004 as democrat party national stragety - to think anything else is a waste of resources; it is high time to position the Republican ticket to deal with her and to make 1968 happan all over again!

I think the is a better possibility that Hillary could named the Vice President nominee to give her more stature in the 2008 election while hoping her presence on the ticket would help the overall results and provide coattails for members Congress.

Republicans hope her premature presidential candidacy could mean ridding themselves of the Clintons at long last, but are frightened by her masterful performance in New York.

1) W is not Lazio, who was a pathetic candidate.

2)The NY media abetted the Shrew's campaign by failing to call her on anything. Her "masterful performance" consisted of her not saying anything, and the media not asking anything. That will not happen nationally.

3)The Shrew is incapable of thinking on her feet. W would clobber her because he is smarter.

In other words, please run Hillary, please!

the Democratic Party will go into its July convention in Boston without a clear winner ...Here looms the brokered convention that journalists and other political junkies have dreamed about for half a century.... Enter Hillary.

I've said all along that the reason there are so many candidates fielded by the DNC is to set up exactly this scenario. Hitlery does not have to expose her stupidity by engaging in debates before the convention and would come in as the popular savior of her party. If GWB's polls are down by convention time, this will be exactly what will happen. If his poll numbers remain strong, the Dems will field any old sacrificial candidate and get to work on 08.

Remember the words of Linda Tripp: "Eight years for him; eight years for her...that's the plan".

• She has to be on the ticket (Pres or Veep) in order to get to the White House.
• If she doesn't run in 2004 and Bush loses, she will not successfully challenge an incumbent Democrat president in 2008.
• That means she will have to wait about ten years from now just to run for the presidency.
• If the incumbent Democrat screws up in the 1st or 2nd term, a Republican will likely win 2008 or 2012, whichever is applicable.
• That means she would to wait an additional 4 or 8 years.
• I don't think she wants to wait that long. Yes? No?

"Nevertheless, Hillary could be propelled, without her volition, into next year's presidential election."

Who does this person think they're kidding? Hillary has never done anything without her own volition. Oh, she will plant the seeds in other people's heads, just so it doesn't look like it's come from her, but the woman is a snake, and no one makes a move without her approval. I've said it for quite a while now, that Hillary might run in 2004, especially if it is made to look that the masses demand her to, to save the party. She wants to be President alright, but if she can be President and have people beg her to run, and be looked upon as the heroine of the party, that's even better. I wouldn't count her out in 2004...no, not at all.

Novak has been lurking. I have said for some time that she could emerge from the convention as the nominee, never have had to spend any money or be bloodied by the other candidates. If all else failed, the candidate in the lead would be blackmailed or whacked.
