I feel very sorry for the poor guy. If he had been beaten by Sadam as this story tells, he was probably so terrified of him that he wasn't about to make the butcher of Baghdad mad again, and probably still has nightmares about being put in his torture chambers!
Besides, he was great comic relief during those days.

Even Bush commented, when asked about him... he said something like, "That's my man!" Truly, it was humorous. But, in a way, it is almost an embarassing type of humor, really. Sometimes it is uncomfortable to watch others make a fool of themselves.

"Besides, he was great comic relief during those days."Apparently for President Bush also. When asked by Tom Brokaw what he thought of Baghdad Bob, Bush let out a belly laugh and said; "That guy sure was a character."

Dont feel sorry him. He's alive and well. Feel sorry for the Iraqis forced to carry guns on saddam's orders, forced to die under our arms or by saddam's death squads. May they rest in peace.
He made a nice living doing a vile thing: Lying on behalf of an evil murdering regime.
You should feel no more sorry him than you do George Stephanopoloous. No, not a fair comparison --- no more sorry than you would for Joseph goebbels in May 1945.
