Shawne's Grandpa's "point" about evolution was indeed a straw man fallacy, because it attacked evolution by mocking a (purposely) ridiculous misrepresentation of what evolution actually holds.
That's pretty par for the course for creationists, of course, and that's why evolutionists so often raise the "straw man" flag.
Your sighing over its reappearance does nothing to rebut the (accurate) label, nor did you attempt to defend the original mischaracterization.
So, in short, you're not fooling anyone.
