Morning, Pippin!
I see everyone was congregating over on yesterday's thread this morning. Hope they all come over here. I would have liked to have gotten the thread posted earlier, but it's only 6:00 AM in my neighborhood. This bear doesn't get up any earlier than that. LOL.

Good Morning Pippin! Thank you for this great letter to our President. I think that you expressed how MANY of us feel about our Commander in Chief.

Nice words,Pippin.

Good morning, Pippin! I second your words to OUR President.
As President Bush landed on the carrier and went among the personnel, to shake hands and stand for endless photos, I was struck by the way real character comes through in this man. I couldn't help but remember the aloof, elitist posture and attitude that came through when the previous White House occupant was around our Soldiers. It was easy to discern which man was comfortable with those he commanded, which man counted these Soldiers and Sailors as fellow human beings instead of servants to the commanders will, which man had the strength of character that allowed him to be humble among the troops instead of posing for press. I was struck by the contrast of what would have gone through clinton's mind when reaching to hug a female sailor serving his whim, and what innocent manliness projected from the one now serving as Commander-in-Chief.

Good morning. We had wild stormy weather here last night. The yards and streets are a mess today. Power was out for almost 12 hours at my house.

Very, very nice, Pippin. I think you SHOULD send this to the President.
Maybe take parts of this to Kinko's and have it printed, too????
