A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/1/03

President Bush and First Lady Laura began the day in a ceremony honoring the National Day of Prayer. Bush then headed to San Diego where he co-piloted a Navy Viking jet and landed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, a truly historic moment for American Presidents and our country. The President then spoke to the nation saying that major combat operations in Iraq are over. Bush also took the opportunity to once again thank the men and women of our military. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

One of the best days to share with the president! I enjoyed it by watching and reading it all almost as much as he did by doing it all. Thanks for the great pics as always!

OH, lawgirl, I am SO sorry that I missed you last night!! These pictures make the Carpenter Dose seem tame, don't they?! Holy Moly!! What we imagined to be is true!! (Glad you thought of the pillows ahead of time.....I was hyperventilating myself!)
Do you think the man has the slightest idea how GOOD he looked in that flightsuit??? I hope Laura gives him an INCREDIBLE homecoming tonight!! (Did you hear E.D. on Fox and Friends say that Laura had herself a HOTTIE??)
NOW......while I was away last night, Mr O and I (among other 'collateral benefit' kinds of things we were doing) discussed those leg harnesses and flight suits (and where I could find one to buy HIM).
If anyone has a Navy surplus store near them, I am definitely interested in shopping there!
Now, about Steve......here's the picture I took where the pumpkin lady obliterated the President.......

Studly DoRightI like it! He always wants to do what's right, and he sure is a stud!
(Now I think we also know why he usually puts his hand down on the chair between his legs when he poses for pictures in the Oval Office.......he doesn't want to distract us!)

ROFL! That reminds me of the SNL skit where Will Ferrell played the member who kept trying to get Tinky Winky declared the best Tellytubby- hilarious.

It was a lot of fun this morning listening to Bill Press on
WMAL. He was snarling about how W flying in on the carrier was "a cheap political ploy" and how this we nothing but "video for the next presidential campaign." Man, you could picture his expression as he was spitting out this venom. Then he had to listen to all the callers phone in with all of the cheap political ploys of his favorite boy, X42. At last, it was a joy to listen to this creep!

I just KNEW it had to be killing the Dems to watch our president prove what a full on stud he is. I was so happy I had foxnews yesterday--the military guy they had on was FABULOUS talking about how it works on a carrier and how you approach it in flight and stuff- VERY cool. And they devoted practically the whole afternoon to it. It was so exciting! I am glad Press got bombarded with phone calls. Ahole!!!!

No, I don't remember that JFK ever flew in a military jet. At least not that I can think of.
He wasn't a pilot, he was a Navy lt, helmed the PT109, remember? Sailor.

Thanks for the post of Dana Milbank's article. Since he won the White House Correspondents Assn award, it is enlightening to read the whine wound through the report.

You are so bad! LOL! I'm referring to the "hand comment" but I must admit, the very same thought crossed my mind as well!
My, oh my!
Imus had Mike Barnicle on this morning - I only listen as I'm waking up because it's the only station that comes in in that part of the house - and both (as well as the rest of the Imus gang) were just drooling over W. All were proclaiming how much they just loved the guy and how he has restored the presidency and wasn't he so genuine and confident and comfortable with the troops. That no other president could pull this off and the reason W can is because it's REAL!
And they were all joking about how ridiculous clinton would have looked trying to do something like this. It was great.

Anybody watching? The Pres is departing from the Lincoln in 10 minutes!
This ought to be good too.

Rats, I forgot how close he was to shore now. It's just Marine One.
Got spoiled yesterday!

I didn't mean goofy in a negative way. I meant it in a positive way.
