A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/1/03
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 05/01/2003 7:13:51 PM PDT by rintense

President Bush and First Lady Laura began the day in a ceremony honoring the National Day of Prayer. Bush then headed to San Diego where he co-piloted a Navy Viking jet and landed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, a truly historic moment for American Presidents and our country. The President then spoke to the nation saying that major combat operations in Iraq are over. Bush also took the opportunity to once again thank the men and women of our military. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

You know, other people might not understand......I'm not quite sure that I understand myself......but my appreciation for his physical attributes doesn't seem to conflict with my total RESPECT for him and for his morality.

Doesn't that seem weird??

No, that's not weird because President Bush isn't around parading his sexuality like Clinton did. He's just darn cute to look at and we all know his heart belongs to Laura.

I saw her sitting in the front row, and I was like "Condi" and my step-mother didn't know what I was talking about, until I explained to her 20 minutes later that the "stately" woman in green is the NSA Dr. Condeleeza Rice. My step-mom was impressed.

Did you notice the BushBabe in the front row of the officers? She got a the Ohio treatment.

It was sort of like having an elephant in the room. We all saw a part of it......just not denying it!

wonder what we did to deserve him........maybe just prayed enough.

Aside from my sending him our entire bank account and my praying many times daily for God to have mercy on us and give us George...and making sacrificial promises....it was my husband, not a believer, who added the final measure when it looked like George was not going to make it election night...dear hubby broke down and wept and promised God he'd go to church once a month if only we could have George, and two minutes later the networks took Florida out of the Gore column and put it in too close to call.

God has a perverse sense of humor and also wants his soul in Heaven. Thank you, Lord!!

On Brit Hume's show, Mara something said, "You can't get any more symbolism than if you had given him a gun and he went to fight in Iraq." Given the chance, I'm sure President Bush would do it.

I love this man.

I never saw this! I bet it wasn't on TV--the CIC dressing up and getting down and dirty with the crew. I think he just cemented himself 5500 votes today.......

Watching him fly onto that carrier was about the most exciting thing I have seen in a long time. My heart was about failing and I was cheering like I was at the Final Four. AND HE FLEW THE PLANE!! Just when I think it's possible to admire him more....... Then he got out and kept shaking hands and shaking hands and taking pictures and shaking hands and hugging and patting them on the back and more pictures..... I was amazed. I shouldn't have been, but I was- he was taking all the time he wanted to talk to the crew. It was wonderful. And the f-f-f-f-f-f-fli--fli---flight suit.........................don't even get me started.....

Then tonight's speech. Did anyone else feel like it was a little more of the "old" W??? Know what I mean? Lately he's had to be so stern and making sure the world (read=France) knows we are going to do what we say we will. Tonight was a much softer- it had a little bit of triumph in it, but also we got to see W's heart a little bit at the beginning and end when he was talking about those that died I wanted to cry right along with him. It's been awhile since he's let us peek inside and see his tender heart. Makes me love him all over again. ;-D Thank you, God.

HOT DANG. For sheer hunkdom, this ranks up there with the thread showing W. helping to build the house for Habitat for Humanity. He was BORN to wear that flight suit! As time goes by, it is becoming more and more obvious why Laura fell in love and married this guy inside of three months.

Mommybain, you captured the exact tone of what I was feeling even down to thanking Rintense... Thank you. And yes, many thanks to God for giving us George W. Bush. It was a wonderful day.

I usually just lurk on this thread, but this day has left me teary-eyed and so proud of my country and its wonderful president. Thanks for doing this for us, Rintense, and thank you God, for giving us George W. Bush.

Rintense,
I'm back into circulation now. Finished with my dissertation. Whew!

You have done a super job again. I just love these pictures of this precious man. And some of those pictures in the flight suit! Wow! He is so deeply loved by this military. Wonderful!

I think we'll have a lot more Broken Glass Republicans in 2004 than we did in 2000 ...... :-)

I think Miss Marple has coined the phrase "take the bullet Republicans." I think in the case of Dubya, it applies.
