When I went to the links from the picture of Clinton on the aircraft carrier in 1996 [#137], and clicked the picture again to see an enlarged version, their are two horizontal stripes intersecting the picture about mid-way through it, one stripe is yellow and one is red. How fitting is that?

The red stripe touches his head and the yellow stripe touches his chest. Even the camera knows his head is red and his heart is yellow.

Ha!

Unfortunately I think you're reading too much into the stripes!.  They're probably there on purpose so no-one can use the high-res photo.  Proof?  I was going to post the high res (at a smaller size) until I realized the stripes would detract from the photo.  I used the smaller low res instead.

Again, the military (defenselink.mil) proves how smart they can be and saves the bandwidth.

An honorable president uses the military in a just cause and thus enjoys fellowship with the soldiers: the pictures demonstrate that they enjoy him!

So do I!

By the way, who wants to rally behind the following slogans?

I feel exactly the same as you. The President is our most sincere President ever. He truly loves our country and its people.

The people truly love him.

Absolutely, we will have to disagree. The womens lib thing has gone too far. That a man can't even put his arm on the shoulder of a woman is just stupid. Believe me, there was nothing but respect in those arms around the president or vice versa. There was nothing sexual about them. Be they from the women or the men.

I guess you would think a minister or priest should never put their arm around the shoulder of man or woman or child. I would disagree with that too. Same for teachers.

Yep.. we will just have to disagree on this one. We've had different experiences in life than you've had I guess.

The Colonel said it well. We've heard the same thing about this Commander in Chief from the military we know. Stud isn't the word at all. Even insulting.

I remember when that was being said about Sec. of Def. Rumsfield. He said it was ridiculous. It was. These MEN love their wives, and their country. It isn't "sexual" for them. They are true leaders, and we all respect them.

The Colonel mentioned in the e-mail said it so well. Thanks for pinging us to it. Glad Utah Girl posted it.

I can't tell if they're AF wings, photo size is hard for me to make them out. But they're all pretty much the same, the Wings. You said he earned them, again right on the money.
One other thing he's earned is the respect of our great Military, he doesn't demand it, neccesarily expect it, but by God he's earned that respect. A man of words, deeds, and love of his nation.
For me, I'm proud to be under President Bush's command.
I admire him because he doesn't have a fake, immoral, again, fake bone in his body.
His admiring glare to the troops are all real, his eyes don't lie, nor does his tongue. I got to see it first hand at a Air Force Base he recently visited. America first, going to do what he says...not this "will be hunted down and punished..." inaction. He's a man of his word and will.
So refreshing and I'm personally very proud of my CINC.
GBGWB, GBUSA.

We weren't speaking about the President's actions, which are above reproach, we were talking about the looseness of young women, who should act like the professional military they want to be. You said they put their heads on the President's shoulder and that is highly inappropriate.

The President of course is dearly loved by most of us. If he puts his arm around anyone's shoulders that is a far different scenario than what you originally described.

Women in today's military want it both ways. They want special privileges and still want respect. It just doesn't work that way. If they truly want equality they should stop acting loose. Lets return to decency.
