You'll be happy to know that though I was teaching first graders today, their end of recess bell sounded just before President Bush flew onto the USS Lincoln. I ran to get the kidlets on the playground, told them to HURRY so we could watch the President, and entered the room just in time to watch the landing! Yahoo! We talked about who our President was and his name, why he was wearing "funny clothes" and how great this was. ... Just doing my part to educate the young! (and thank you God this school has cable :)

president bush reminds me of the reagan years.

We happen to disagree. I find it unprofessional, and highly inappropriate for ANY female to get that familiar with any man in authority not her husband or a close relative. Its not appropriate for DECENT women to hang over men, especially men who are married, and especially not the President. Its simply not appropriate.
People make far too many excuses for the behavior of these young women.
So,we'll agree to disagree.

In response to post 38 you said, "Except for the engine pods hanging off the wings, the large canopy and high wings, the different fuselage plan...other than that..." ROFLMAO! Good point. I think if I was drunk and squinted my eyes just right the Viking looks like a Cessna 172. Oh I forgot all general aviation aircraft are Piper Cubs. So I think if I was drunk and squinted my eyes just right the Viking looks like a Piper Cub. There.

It's good to be loved. Thank you. Glad you're a woman. Too many manwomen and womenmen out there these days. Remeber WMD = Wussy Male Democrat like Lieberman or Woman Man Democrat Like Hitlery. Must be tough being a woman or a man in Boston. Haven't seen MA since the late 70's.

George W. Bush is at the center of what's made me feel great about being an American again. He, his people, our military, and all we've stood for again make me so proud. I liked him from the beginning because he is so earthy. But that basic like has turned into a strong admiration. He is truly eloquent in his simplicity. He's the next door neighbor who always waves and chats awhile. The look on his face when he was told about 9/11 while reading to those kids in Florida told me this man is about to become all that he can be. He hasn't let us down.

I wonder if President Bush is going to go across the pond and thank those Royal Marines, and Scot Guards?

Not only a private pilot but also a builder. I built a two seat amphibious kitplane. Flew it for 4 years and sold it, (two kids in college), to a guy who forgot to retract the wheels on a water landing (no injuries except the plane). I once took a guy up for my 2 year review who had made a carrier landing before (he was not seaplane rated). He said approach for a water landing is ever bit as hairy as a carrier. I think the carrier would be much hairier. Now that my kids are graduating I'm thinking about another kit. I'm a life long airplane nut and it amuses me to see a post like number 38. I thought your reply was a hoot. Thanks

life long airplane nut Same here - I saw you were SAC - I was TAC (and then ACC). Worked on F-15s and F-16s. As far as my reply - well, hell, someone has to be the smartass...

It's usually me that's a smartass, that's why I appreciate a good smartass. I used to have at least 100 coffee table books on aviation. Could have opened a reference library. Built a house out of em instead.
