Atlas Shrugged is a long and entertaining read. A good vacation book.

Highly recommended. And full of powerful ideas.

Agreed. Except for that incredibly tedious speech by John Galt at the end. Good ideas are simple. They don't take 100+ pages to expound.

I preferred listening to the unabridged book on tape (12 tapes) while lying in an inflated truck innertube on the beach at the OBX sipping Margarittas.

I was raised a Roosevelt Democrat in an extremely Union Family. ( Grand Dad was head of State AFL/CIO) in the 50's, early 60's.

I read Atlas Shrugged when I was 18. She provoked enough thought that I was arguing with liberals in college.

I was awfully proud to switch my party affiliation.
