Conservatives react to Hillarys "Shriekfest"

The mainstream press is pretending not to notice Hillary Clinton's shrieking tirade against President Bush in Connecticut Monday night, where she bellowed that she was "sick and tired" of Bush supporters questioning the patriotism of Democrats who criticized the commander-in-chief while troops were in harms way.

But conservative commentators had a field day with the former first lady's rhetorical meltdown, with most suggesting that it revealed "the real Hillary."

Talk radio host Michael Reagan posited that for those who know Hillary best, her Monday night tantrum was nothing new.

"I think what we heard last night at that speech was probably what the ushers in the White House were hearing for eight years when Hillary would talk to Bill Clinton," he told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."

Former White House insider Dick Morris, who saw the undiluted Hillary up close and personal for two decades, echoed that sentiment, telling the Fox News duo, "She sounds like she's talking to Bill."

Morris said that even Hillary's senior staff feared her temper, and sometimes drew straws to see which unfortunate member of the group would have to deliver bad news to the Screamer-in-Chief.

"We would all sit around and we would debate who would go in and put the bell on the cat's tail and give Hillary advice," recalled the top Clinton advisor. "The only person that could do it was [Hillary's chief of staff] Maggie Williams and that was the purpose she served on the staff."

Morris said the African-American Williams "was the only one who could give Hillary advice without getting scalped for it." Williams was so trusted that Hillary now has her keeping an eye on hubby Bill as chief of staff of his Harlem office.

Still, other conservatives reacted to Sen. Clinton's rant on personal terms, going so far as to say it explained why he is, as they say in the South, "a hard dog to keep on the porch."

Quipped KABC-LA radio host Al Rantel Tuesday night after the playing the Hillary audio for his audience, "Imagine waking up next to that every morning."

Her screeching reminded me of the babble Fat Teddy did a while back at a rally ... Rush used to play it for the shear vacuous nature of hollering but making nonsense sounds. We all realize that typical democrat robots will react to the screeching without needing any substance, simply because it's coming from hillary.

Dick Morris also admitted that she ignored him for six months! As the primary political advisor to the President, he's ignored until Bubba persuaded her to speak to Morris. Weird?

One of the things that always gets left out about this woman is that she had a father that never approved of any of her accomplishments. He basically ignored her. That isn't good but it speaks volumes as to why she is unstable.

I don't know if you listen to Rush, but he plays an audio clip of Ted Kennedy babbling to a cheering crowd. Toward the end of Ted's remark, you can't understand what he is saying. It's really funny.

Hillary's rant reminds me of that .
