I can't say whether it is currently in production, but I know deals have been made. Yes, Spielberg is involved but probably does not what this out yet. Well, Steven, I know what you are up to.

The Thomasas' (sp?) floated this idea a few years ago when Conason was shopping it around, but nothing ever came of it. After 9/11, such a project became unworkable, since nobody cares about Clinton anyway; the last thing people want to do is bring up impeachment and Monica, so forth. Its ancient history. It would be a financial disaster, and that's one thing Spielberg is pretty good at avoiding (1941 aside)

If you have inside info, I would say take it with a grain of salt at this point. I'm an entertainment news lurker myself with some contacts, and this sounds like that Spielberg-Lincoln movie rumor that was floating around about a year ago.

Agree doug. But, Spielberg still has an out.

i.e., "I didn't see this. It must be in the middle of my in-box"....then again, could be an effort of Hildebeast's failed pre-mag "disclosures" to 'meet the press'.
