[Moderator's note: From looking at some of the posts on the thread, it looks that once again the left has nothing on him and the left looks both foolish and dishonest.
Here are some highlights from this thread:

I know, I'm shocked as well.
The March 13, 2002 quote is:
Deep in my heart I know the man is on the run, if he's alive at all. Who knows if he's hiding in some cave or not; we haven't heard from him in a long time. And the idea of focusing on one person is -- really indicates to me people don't understand the scope of the mission.
Terror is bigger than one person. And he's just -- he's a person who's now been marginalized. His network, his host government has been destroyed. He's the ultimate parasite who found weakness, exploited it, and met his match. He is -- as I mentioned in my speech, I do mention the fact that this is a fellow who is willing to commit youngsters to their death and he, himself, tries to hide -- if, in fact, he's hiding at all.
So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you. I'm more worried about making sure that our soldiers are well-supplied; that the strategy is clear; that the coalition is strong; that when we find enemy bunched up like we did in Shahikot Mountains, that the military has all the support it needs to go in and do the job, which they did.
And there will be other battles in Afghanistan. There's going to be other struggles like Shahikot, and I'm just as confident about the outcome of those future battles as I was about Shahikot, where our soldiers are performing brilliantly. We're tough, we're strong, they're well-equipped. We have a good strategy. We are showing the world we know how to fight a guerrilla war with conventional means

Doing a search, that "quote" shows up ONLY on RAT web-sites.
HOWEVER, on the Official White House Page, this portion of the President's phone call to Guliani and Pataki and subsequent press conference on September 13, 2001 is recorded:
Q Mr. President, how confident are you that Osama bin Laden is behind these attacks? Do you know what his whereabouts are? And, secondly, what kind of support are you looking for from Congress, in terms of your willingness to act?hmmmm.....Got Source?THE PRESIDENT: We are -- we will not discuss intelligence matters, how we gather intelligence and what we know -- about anybody. When our government acts, you'll be informed.

Looking back over the news of that day, I don't see any news mention of Bush saying anything like that, September 13, 2001. It would have been in the news the next day, and as one can see in the articles posted the morning of the 14th, there are none having it.

FYI....these words:
On September 13, 2001, Bush said, "The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him!" Six months later, on March 13, 2002, that aim was totally reversed when Bush said, "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and I really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
appear on the democRats online site, the DUmmies site, bigcrack.net, gratis.net, gatech.net site, huppi.com, existentialmoo.com, disinfotainmenttoday.com, and a host of other equally suspicious sites.
When clicking on the news tab on google, however, this appeared:
Your search - "The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden" - did not match any documents.
There is no legitmate newsource to be found for these alleged quotes. I, personally, have no memory of Bush ever having said this....in fact, my memory is of quite the opposite; I recall Bush repeatedly saying something to the effect of "this is not about one man, it's not about going after just Bin Laden, it's about going after the terrorists and the terrorist network."

I was disturbed by this image.. Usually the leftists have nothing on Bush but he looks really foolish here.

Just for discussion, don't flame me and don't whine that I'm a Democrat... look at my post history.. I'm just bothered by this blatant duplicity on Bush's part.
[Post 112 is a must see. Thanks, AM]
The nerve of Bush...He should be impeached for his perfidy.
In the timeframe of the first quote, Bush knew he was going to have to lead a nation that is slow to war (i.e. US) into battle where we were basically going to have to invade Afghanistan to go after the perps of 9/11 and to start to process of making our nation safer. Remember the creeps he was up against, the "we need to open a dialog!" crowd. He had to use the simple focus of going after the leader of the bad guys to correctly focus the loosely-controlled democratic republic on the right goal.
But by the time of the second quote, we had already dismantled Al Queda, by and large, and the fact is that we may never realistically know if we got Bin Laden. Instead of letting the nation lose its terrorism focus by haggling on and on about Bin Laden, Bush is doing the right thing by making Bin Laden be the "last war" and moving our focus as a nation onto the appropriate phase of the battle plan.
It's just good leadership. It's not "duplicity."
One thing I have come to believe is that when President Bush sounds like he is dragging his feet, lots is being done under the surface. Email me privately if you want more of my feelings on this.
September 13, 2001. We must consider that the statement was made two days after the hijackings. Osama was responsible, and a valid target.
March 13, 2002. The destruction of the Taliban and Al Qaeda infrastructure is complete. Osama is no longer a significant player, and may well be dead. He is no longer important.
There's not a problem here. The problem would be if Bush remained fixated on Osama after he'd made him irrelevant.
