It wasn't long ago that homosexuality or SSAD was also classified as such. Just because the homosexual segment of APA became powerful enough to get that changed, doesn't mean that SSAD isn't still a mental illness. Tell me, of all the "gays" you know, what percentage of them would you say are/were in therapy of some sort or suffer from some sort of pathology (addiction, eating disorder, obsessive/compulsive, narcissistic personality, etc.)? For me, it's about 90% and I've known perhaps several dozen "gays."

It does "gays" no good to enable their behavior. It only leads them further down the path to self-destruction. In all honesty, I think that those who tell them there is way out--that they need not be slaves to their unnatural passions--do them a much greater service.
