Impossible. I read in the NY Times that there is no link between Saddam and al Qaeda. It must be a misprint.
To: Dog
But, but, but,....there is no AQ and Iraq connection. I'm confused.

there is NO EVIDENCE al quaida and saddam worked together. Saddam is secular. Osama is hard core fundamentalist. They HATE each other. I refuse to believe this neo-con conspiracy!

While I doubt this is Zarqawi or Khabab, as the former is reputed to have returned to Iran and the latter to the Pankisi Gorge, this could easily turn out to be Abu Wael, who was the Ansar's attache to Iraqi intelligence. Failing that, it could be Abu Iyad, who was evidently calling the shots for the al-Qaeda brigade inside of Iraq during the Three Weeks War. He's a Saudi (you're shocked, I know) and would definitely be of some value to the US.
