As Washington National Cathedral approached completion, the west towers rose towards the sky, striking toward heaven. During the building a startling idea was hatched: hold a competition for children to design decorative sculpture for the Cathedral.
To Find Darth Vader you have to leave the building through the ramp entrance. This is located at the northwest corner of the nave, through the double wooden doors of Lincoln Bay. Go down the ramp, and step into the parking lot. Then, turn around and look back up at the tower closest to you. He is almost impossible to see without the assistance of binoculars.
Way way way up, almost at the top of the tower is a gablet, or small peaked roof, located between the two huge louvered arches. At the bottom of each slope of this gablet is a carved grotesque. Darth Vader is on the north, or right-hand, side. There is a carved skull situated on a gablet much closer to the ground which many people often mistake for Darth Vader. From this skull, Darth Vader is up and to the left.

It insults me. And that you would continue to heap on more insults that aren't even true, but imagined by you. *It hurts my feelings*. There. I said it. I don't mind arguing whether I am right or wrong about something, but this is just so childish! And I could care less that any stranger is a jerk, but that you in particular would be a jerk to me in particular pisses me off.
[shrug] I just don't get it. Small-man maybe? - Who has to kick a little dog to convince himself he is a man?

Is this a reprint. I read it about 25 or so years ago, I DO remember that Legolas was LegoLamb. Hilarious. How many people think that Darth Vader seems to be modeled after a Teutonic Knight in Alexander Nevsky. Just musing.

I haven't read it, so I can't answer! A number of my friends agree that it is hilarious... I just haven't laid my hands on it.

Those people are nuts, but you have to look hard to find them. I don't know any of them, and I have never read that Secret Diary crap or any fan-fic. Don't tell me how "bothered" you are about seeing something you had to go looking for to even know exists. You can find freaks who write porn about hobbits. You can find people who write porn about *anything*. They aren't the real world and you know it.
I am talking about me. and my friends. You know, the ones that get lumped in there when you are spewing stuff about hating freaky Tolkien fans, the very real and good people that hang out on my thread. Have you ever *seen* our thread, and how nice and normal all those people are?
I felt guilty about taking you so seriously. I thought you might feel bad because you were kidding. You are a smaller person than I suspected? - Wow.

Give it a rest; this dispute's is not a "hill worth dying on."
It's one thing to enjoy a good book or movie; quite another to get all possessive and personal about it. If there are grown people who attend annual Star Trek Conventions dressed as Klingons- and we all know there are- there are adults somewhere who get a "wee bit" too involved in LOTR, or professional sports, video games, etc, to the point it becomes a sort of idol worship.
How can one tell if you're "one of those people?"
Simple...
Such folk get all defensive if someone pokes fun at their idol, or at other people who have sucked up such fantasies like a bunch of Bounty "quicker picker upper" paper towels.

I won't ask how and why you found this thread from two months ago and decided to speak to me this way, but I will just say PFFFFFFFFFFT! Wrong answer!
People who actually know me would never think those things about me, so I see no reason to listen to you.
Have a nice day!

Wow.... The first time you speak to me you reply to a post already 2 months old.... now you reply after 7 more months pass. What is with you?
This is the slowest argument ever. I think it must be a record!

Jeepers you're right. That's even weirder! And the person has many other posts from today and yesterday, it's not like this is the first time back on all that time.
