But they don't want to make their sexuality an issue...

How about: "Closet? Get back in it"

The "fine by me" movement at Duke hasn't been without controversy, though. A group of feminists said the message was troubling. "Perhaps we should invest in a 'It is not my right to authorize your sexuality' shirt," they wrote in an e-mail message.

of course, a T-shirt proclaiming the opposite would be immediately banned.

It's a free t-shirt? Couldn't be that hard to give the stuff away. How did they raise the money to pay for this in the first place?

In the past two weeks, hundreds of students have been seen wearing T-shirts that say, simply: "Gay? Fine by me."
Duke President Nan Keohane has one. Duke basketball players Nick Horvath and Shavlik Randolph have been spotted in the shirts.

I would expect such behavior from the boys in powder blue, but Duke? I am shocked. :)

And if ANY conservative (or Christian) were to print a T-shirt with HIS or HER personal view ...

(Example: "Gay? The Wages of Sin are Death")

There'd be h*ll to pay and hte liberal press would stone the conservative!

Back in the early 90s when Christian Laettner played for Duke there were tons of rumors floating around that he was gay.

Around about that time, I heard that some rival fans (UK maybe?) made up some T-shirts that said, "Duke sucks, but Laettner Swallows."

BTW, it is really hard for me to believe that Duke is the most "gay-unfriendly" campus in the USofA. Everyone I know who went there is a hidebound liberal ideologue.

A number of guys will stop wearing their free t-shirt when they realize that it says: "Gay? Chat me up!" in Faglish.

One of the t-shirt slogans that was scrapped:

"Get behind Gays...and they'll get behind you!"

How about:
"Gay? What makes you think I care?"

"Gay? Why do you feel that you deserve special priveleges?"

"Gay? Why do you feel the need to rub my nose in it?"

"Gay? Keep it in your pants where it belongs."

"Gay? I'm so sorry and I will pray for your healing."

"_______? Fine by me." --- The definition of what's wrong with our society today. Moral relativism is running rampant, and no one dares to criticize anyone's (PC) behavior, even if they don't agree with it.

The philosophy is, "If it's not illegal I can do it. If it is illegal I'll do it anyway, then file a lawsuit (when caught) claiming some kind of discrimination."

I think these would look just as good on a tshirt:

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Leviticus 20:13

"But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly." Genesis 13:13

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Wonder how they would react to:

Leviticus 18:22

"Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination"

or

Leviticus 20:13

"If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination...."
