She just stated the only supporters of the Bill are the NRA, Concealed Carry Now and the Republican Party.

Thanks for starting this.

I spent the day in the gallery, except for trips to feed the parking meter, and haven't a clue what happened here.

But it was clear that the Senators were reading their emails during the session, so those of you who were sitting back watching the video and firing off emails may have had more of an impact than those of us who were watching it live.

We won!

It's about time.

Maybe we'll help put pressure on Wisconsin. They passed their bill in the House, and got tied up in the Senate committees, last year.

Because of redistricting, all of the Senate ran in 2000, and none of them are up for re-election until 2004.

Just in time to reward or punish the politicians because of the Assault Weapons ban.

We live in interesting times.

If you were accused, but aquited... ie NOT GUILTY of having committed said crime... then this chick doesn't want you to be able to carry just because you were accused?

So much for "innocent until proven guilty".

She's not only shrill.. but truly 100% brainless.

It's worse than that, really.

In her day job, she's a prosecutor. Assistant Hennepin County District Attorney.

Congrats everyone. Job well done.

Can't wait to see the "voting roll call" so we can know who to target next election.

"Cowboys"

Back to the Old Wild West again.

Yeah, Cowboys! According to my Man on the Scene (who incidentally wrote the book that's going to be used for training classes), the Minnesota Personal Protection Act makes no distinction between concealed carry and open carry. I'm really looking forward to packin' my stainless Ruger Vaquero. I've even hauled my old buscadero holster out of the closet and started oiling it up. Yeehaw!!!!!

(Okay, I confess, we've got a SASS match coming up in two weeks.)

Funny. My wife taught our 2 boys to shoot a rifle as soon as they could hold it. Guess whose kids are going to grow up to mature and self-sufficient adults?

Exactly. Last summer I introduced my son to my bb/pellet gun. Taught him how to safely load, shoot, unload and store it.

I'm hoping to maybe be able to introduce him to either my dad's .22 cal revolver, and/or my .22 cal bolt action rifle this Memorial day weekend.

Actually, I guess it doesn't matter whether I do or not. We're starting up our Concealed Carry training classes this Thursday, provided our lead trainer is functional by then. (At last word he was in a bar somewhere near the capitol, celebrating his brains out.)
