Georgia flag will not carry Dixie cross Friday, April 25, 2003 Posted: 10:30 PM EDT (0230 GMT)
ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- The Georgia Legislature voted Friday to change the state flag to a version that echoes the Confederate battle emblem, but without the familiar Dixie cross that had led black lawmakers to promise an economic boycott.
Lawmakers agreed to quash any possibility of a referendum on reviving the Confederate battle emblem, which black lawmakers called a symbol of oppression and which had been a part of the bill.
If the measure is approved by Gov. Sonny Perdue, Georgia voters next March will choose between the temporary flag and the current Georgia flag.
i KNEW both in the early-mid '60s. (in those days we REDmen/women were active in the NAACP, long before it bacame the naaLcp. what the money-hungry racebaiters, who are running things in the organization NOW, did to a fine old civil rights organization is a SHAME & a DISGRACE!)

also you should check out the black men who've formed the BLACK CONFEDERATE SOLDIER'S MEMORIAL FOUNDATION. they REALLY stir up the kluxers because they are BLACK, conservative & support the TRUE CAUSE publically, with their pretty gray uniforms & battleflags!

Thank you sir! BTW, you are one of the very few people that uses the old southron spelling. I thank you for that.
Now on to Dr. King and the money-hungry charlatan, je$$e. I wasn't aware that Dr. King didn't like him, but somewhere in the deep, dark recesses of my failing memory, it seems I heard that years ago.
I do know I heard that je$$e jackass put his hand in Dr. King's blood then rubbed it on his clothes, to "prove" how close he was to Dr. King when he was shot. I don't know if that is true or not, but as far as I'm concerned, it is. I wouldn't put it past him.
Something else I have always wondered; did je$$e contact Ray and have Dr. King killed, for the very reason he is now "sitting on the throne," so to speak. As vile and evil as that "man" is, I wouldn't put it past him. But only je$$e and God know for sure...and je$$e would deny that for the rest of his miserable life.
My gosh, you actually met Dr. King, what an honor!
As far as the race-baiting pimp, well......
That's it! H.K. Edgerton! And you know him? You do get around.
Thank you for reminding me of his name. If you are still in contact with him, please convey the Hog Wild FReepers dissapointment in our failure to meet him!
I certainly will check out the BLACK CONFEDERATE SOLDIER'S MEMORIAL FOUNDATION. Thank you again, sir!
dog (It ain't mah fawlt Ah live in the dayum city, Los Angeles Caidos. Ah'm jes' a good ol' country brown-neck at heart.)
Notice the (I guess) "politically incorrect" Dixie and Joe-Ja shirts on mah bulldawg shirts page.
also, i knew BOTH Drs. King & Mrs King during a "self-help rural re-construction project" in AR in the summer of '66 & most of '67.
i was a college student (freshman/sophamore) at the time; he was a "man full-grown", so i can't claim to have been a friend, just an admirer.
he and Mrs. King (she is a GREAT cook, btw! her pinto beans & fatback AND her fried cornbread were WONDERFUL, after a day of swinging a pick and/or wielding a shovel!) were NICE & polite to the students! Dr King, Sr was too old to swing a pick, but was thought of by the students as our chaplain & mender of broken hearts.
