A former UN Weapons Inspector tells Joeseph Farrah that he knows where Iraq was reprocessing uranium for development of nuclear weapons and is urging the US Defence Department to take a look.
Bill Tierney says that he has first hand knowledge of the uranium enrichment program at a nuclear reasearch facility about six miles from the Iraqi town of Tarmiya.
'The Iraqis have an underground chamber where they have cauldrons used for the electromagnetic isotope seperation method,' asserts Tierney. 'And all they have to do is hop in their cars, go up Canal Road, take a right at Baghdad-Mosul Road, go about 40 to 50 clicks up the road and take another right. Go down to the river. There it is. My advice to inspectors is to bring your ground penetrating radar team. All they have to do is go there. Prove me wrong.'
This is a facility-an underground chamber-that cannot be put on the back of a truck and moved out, explains Tierney. He suggests that if the military acts quickly, it will be albe to detect residual radiation.
The facility is an underground cavern beneath a power generation station and a water treatment plant.

Didn't someone say last night that they were offering Tariz Aziz a deal to disclose the WMD locations?

Well, I think that Tarik just follow talking points handed to him. I doubt that neither he nor Baghdad Bob is in a position to know such details.

What took Joseph so long to come up with information?

"...Bill Tierney says that he has first hand knowledge..."

FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE?
Wouldn't that mean he had actually BEEN there?
As a weapon's inspector?

My bet is that this was there when Joey was inspecting back in the mid-90s and hasn't been used since.
Interesting how he might have "first-hand knowlege" otherwise.
I'll wait, thank you.

Seems you and I both noticed that "first-hand knowledge" bit.
Something's amiss with that.

Tarik has been around a long time, he may know where some skeletons are buried (probably not all, but enough to make a deal)

Isn't the half-life of uranium in the billions of years? Is there really a chance that the uranium will decay away before we get there?

I think these guys are good at brinksmanship, but only to a point.
Tarik may not sing before he loses one testicle, but I am sure he'll lay it all out clearly for the Coalition before he loses the other one.

Radioactive isotope separation facility underground and next to the river beneath the water treatment and power generation facility, so that would be on the riverbank. The Iraqi government may not be the brightest bulb on the string, but I doubt they are this stupid. This is a disaster waiting to happen, and its upstream of Baghdad. One flood and the river all the way to Baghdad will glow for decades.
I seriously doubt this report.

Has this been disproven yet?

What amazes me is that they apparently aren't very well prepared to seek these locations out as quick as possible. Not enough equipment, teams to seek these out and without forces to protect sites. What is our problem with seeking out these places. I've seen Tierney a few times on tv and I think it's worth a look and what is the problem with us taking so long seeking out the best sites?

"Isn't the half-life of uranium in the billions of years? Is there really a chance that the uranium will decay away before we get there? "The former UN inspector is thinking in UN time. There really would have been a chance that the uranium would decay before the UN got there!

Why didn't they speak up YEARS ago? Enough with the U.N. and Blix lies.
To: The_Victor
I doubt it too since apparently they can't even spell the operative words correctly:
"The Iraqis have an underground chamber where they have cauldrons [sic]... "
er ... ... do you mean calutron???
