Hillary Clinton's Memoirs to Hit Stores 1 hour, 28 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - After laying out a seven-figure advance for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites)'s memoirs, her publishers are counting on seven-figure sales.
The account of her years in the White House will have a first printing of 1 million copies, her lawyer told The Associated Press. The 576-page book, entitled "Living History," is scheduled for release June 9. An audio version, read by Clinton, will be released the same day.
"Only a small handful of books have a 1-million-copy first printing, and I cannot think of another nonfiction book in recent history that has had that large a first printing," Robert Barnett, Clinton's lawyer, said Sunday.
The first lady-turned senator was paid an $8 million advance by Simon & Schuster. Foreign rights have already been sold in 16 countries, from South America to Europe to Asia.
The list price for the book, according to online seller amazon.com, is $28.
The book, which took two years to write, will be billed as a "complete and candid" accounting of her years in the White House, from the health care debate to impeachment to the launching of her own political campaign in 2000.

I just recommended that readers also buy Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. It will be interesting if its removed or not shown as innappropriate as Saul was one of Hillarys mentors.
It takes about a day to show up so I will keep checking. Someone else recommended the Communist Manifesto so.....: ))

Two books will be released in June:
One will a tale of evil forces, witches, and make-believe.
The other will be Harry Potter.
To: Tijeras_Slim
The Harry Potter book will sell more copies than Hillary's derivative work ever will. Count on it.

Scrap that recommendation re Blumenthal's book. Aristeides said this about him on that thread (I claim ignorance of Blumenthal....I have major lapses of memories during the Klintoon years....they disgusted me so much I couldn't ever watch them, listen to them, or pay too close attention while the pig was in office....he was too revolting):
Blumenthal is a notorious liar. Why would anybody pay money to read his lies? Especially when he trashes an honorable man like Michael Kelly.

I hope Hillary explains her "stand by your man" theory.
Would that be "marriage is all important". Adultery is no big deal and even if you get caught, it's just publicity which can be construed as a "right wing conspiracy".
Really fits in with the Santorum debate which is going on right now, doesn't it??
Monica was a consenting adult, right and "he did not have sexual relations with that woman"?? SHE sure lost her job real quick though and HE got off with a kiss and a hug and dancing on the beach with Hippery.
Hippery and Bubba have one disgusting, sick relationship.

Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises. Or as George Stepsinalotofit put it, "He has kept every promise he intended to keep".

Oh, she wishes us to believe her lawyers, huh? Does a leapord change her spots?

The funniest thing to me is that she is doing the audio book! That's to counter those malicious slurs that she didn't read it.

Looks like they used a picture of Shirley Jones, then photoshopped Hillary's features onto it. I imagine the contents of her book are as honest as the cover photo.

There was some concern that the surplus books would be unsuitable for toilet paper. I suppose they could be recycled as pulp to produce toilet paper and birdcage linings. I would suggest the local bookstores look into this since they will be burdened with large numbers of books on their loading docks. Of course, signed copies would have to be incinerated, since they would be considered to be contaminated biohazardous material.

Thanks for the heads up.

Rush said his 2nd book had an initial printing of 2 million copies. I guess that debunks the statement that this initial printing of one million books is so great.
To: Pistolshot
Where this book will wind up getting used the most.......I don't know what kind of company your ass associates itself with, but if I used Hillary's book to wipe mine, it would pop my hemmorhoids out in protest.

Of course, signed copies would have to be incinerated, since they would be considered to be contaminated biohazardous material. Hahaha! Hey if the book turns out to be as lousy as we think it will be, English professors can use them in a class on how NOT to write a book.

Only the most liberal will purchase Hitlery's book, and the DNC will buy the rest.
A tactic perfected by the Kennedys when Joe Sr. was alive...
