Hmmm...indeed. Our troops need those angels watching over them.

Here's better news:

News from CENTCOM:

April 28, 2003

LOOTED IRAQI ANTIQUITIES RECOVERED

CAMP AS SAYLIYAH, Qatar -- More than 100 items looted from Iraqi museums, including priceless manuscripts, a 7000-year-old vase and one of the oldest recorded bronze bas-relief bulls, have been returned to coalition forces and the Iraqi people.

Iraqis started to return the items after coalition forces began urging local residents to return any artifacts taken during the looting in Baghdad.

One man returned a chest filled with priceless manuscripts and parchments to a nearby mosque; a local pianist returned 10 pieces including a broken statue of an Assyrian king dated to the 9th century B.C. and one of the oldest recorded bronze bas-relief bulls. And after some negotiation, a man arrived with 46 stolen antiquities, then with eight more pieces, and finally with a 7000-year-old vase.

Every day, Iraqis approach coalition forces with information about missing antiquities, and coalition forces follow up and investigate those tips.

Coalition forces will continue to work with the Iraqi people to recover priceless antiquities.

CENTCOM press releases can be found at www.centcom.mil.

O'Reilly has Benon Sevan on!

I saw this guy also on O'Reilly and wondered who he is. I want to keep these guys names for futher reference for when the light is at high beam shineing on the UN and its anti-American members:

'U.N. Aide Benon Sevan: Iraq Should Run Oil Fields' -

And this guy, Shashi Tharoor who Geraldo interviewed last night.

'Our job is to end wars, not start wars'

Thank you for your service, Mango - then and now!
TRANSCRIPT OF TOWN HALL WITH TROOPS
(Hi-lights:)

Q Hi, Mr. Secretary. I'm Sergeant Cramer (ph) from the 502nd (Transit ?), and I was just curious to know whether or not you've been bombarded with apologetic phonecalls from your critics who had perceived a doom and gloom scenario.

(Applause; cheers.)

SEC. RUMSFELD: My answer's off the record. (Laughter.) There were a lot of hand-wringers around, weren't there? (Laughter; applause.) You know, during World War II, I think Winston Churchill was talking about the Battle of Britain, and he said, "Never have so many owed so much to so few." A humorist in Washington the other day sent me a note paraphrasing that, and he said, "Never have so many been so wrong about so much." (Laughter; applause.) But I would never say that. (Laughter.)

Q In the days leading up to the ground assault, I have to admit that it was kind of scary for me personally. What was the hardest leadership decision that you had to make in the beginning of this campaign?

SEC. RUMSFELD: Well, I'll tell you the best decision I made was asking General Tommy Franks. (Cheers; applause.)

Thanks so much for posting the info about Robert Taylor. My husband just told me that his Dad went to his funeral and met Ronald Reagan. Amazing the things you learn after twenty plus years of marriage! Mr. Tealeaf also said that Robert Taylor stayed in the Naval Reserve after World War ll and retired as a Captain. He says that the navy named a ship after him.

Thanks abnegation for the Neil Cavuto speech. I like Neil, he tells it like it is.

This is more like the Robert Taylor I remember. Haven't seen any of his movies in years. I loved "Waterloo Bridge" with Vivian Leigh!

Yes, that is how I remembered him too. I brought him up because he definitely needs to be remembered as one of the Hollywood conservatives who really was a conservative and in addition was a really nice guy. From the letters he wrote he was very intelligent and had great handwriting.

Thanks RC, my son is a member of the 3rd ID, although he was still in Kuwait last week. Don't know where he is at the present. May God watch over all those guys and bring them home safely.

Tex, is the UN guy related to the BagCam preener? What's his name?

Or the French UN Ambassador - Brit Hume called, "Smooth talking pretty boy."

How quickly they forget who owns the big weapons. There's still trying to disarm the world (US), lol. Still no "thank you" from the ingrates, and we pay 25% of their paychecks. Geeze, it's like Neil Cavuto said about the French, what they lack in guts they make up for in nerve.

Good night!
