I don't agree with Rush on that one. It's like saying that Lou Dobbs - a conservative Republican, and the only one on Commie News Network worth watching - "sacrificed his integrity in order to be on CNN." Lou runs his own operation; no one tells him what to say. Likewise, Colmes spews out leftist garbage with impunity, without the FOX management gettting in the way.

What the heck happened at the WH Correspondent's dinner? Did Al Franken accost Alan Colmes at the Fox table for a prolonged period of time, say a half hour, shouting at him like a psycho and screaming at him that he should just shout Hannity down, at which point Brian Kilmeade decide that enough was enough and took him out in the hall and beat the hsit out of him?

Can a comedian ever be taken seriously as a political commentator (although Franken isn't much of a comedian). I mean here's a guy trying to act like an imbecile one minute and then he wants to be taken seriously the next. Would we have taken the Three Stooges seriously as political commentators? What gets me about Franken and Jerry Lewis and some other comedians is that their gimmick is to act as if they are retarded, acting like and making fun of those who don't have all their faculties. Is that funny? Although in Franken's case, maybe it isn't an act.
