Fox and Friends just reported about the dust up. Seems Brian Kilney(sp) stepped in to defend Alan Colmes.

This is interesting. Colmes happens to be my favorite liberal, and I resent Franken highly. I listened to Colmes on radio years ago, and he is probably the only liberal that CAN be listened to on radio. He's vigorously leftist, but never falls into the habit of attacking personally. If you follow him, his manners are impeccable. Better than Hannity's, if you get down to it. I'll bet this really p*sses Hannity off.
And I REALLY like Alan's mom, Mrs. Colmes!! I've heard her a few times, and she is a rip and a real lady. Republican material.

re: American champagne is not champagne.
If it irritates the French to call American champagne, champagne, I say do it with enthusiasm.
I guess you call a box of kleenexes, tissues?

re: American champagne
The Italians are also trying to prevent people from calling the cheese "Parmesan" unless it is actually produced there. What feeble wars Old Europe fights...

re: WHO enforces this USA "law," and HOW CAN WE CHANGE IT ?? )))
You know, I'd like to know if this is a voluntary tradition our vintners follow, or an actual labelling regulation. I do know that it frosts the frogs when we call our wines what we please to call them...would be very interesting to know where this "regulation," or whatever it is, originates

Colmes is a token left. He was solidly pro war on Iraq. Franken is left of the left like the big witch, Hilary.

He was solidly pro war on Iraq ??? I recall his pro war remarks being confined to saying that "now that we're in the war, the anti-war crowd should shut up".....that he didn't agree with going to war before the war, that diplomacy should have continued; that's my recollection.

During the beginning of Rush Limbaugh show, he had problem finding good corporation advertisement. Currently the mood in the country is very militaristic, nationalistic! Leftists have no room to air their side without appearing anti-America!

What I never understood was why he was on Saturday Night Live. In his entire career he has never had a funny moment.

Oh man how I hope that thing never comes to fruition--not because I'm worried about the drivel that will follow, but because we'll probably never be released from it because we know as good liberals they will be seeking some kind of government support when their "big network" doesn't float in the marketplace. It will be PBS II.

It is not at all uncommon for comedians to be VERY unstable and prone to anger. True, but how would that explain Franken's behavior?

What I never understood was why he was on Saturday Night Live. In his entire career he has never had a funny moment. Try listening to Franken in his role as the host of the EIL (Excellence In Liberalism) Network on FR Comedy Radio. You might change your mind. Next show is on May 21 at 9 PM EDT.

Al Franken is all that is wrong with the Democratic Party. I hope he keeps it up >>> meaning more Republican victories in the next election. Democratics such as Franken has their asses rubbed during the Clinton years, and now they can't take the heat. I guess someone should have asked Franken(stein): If you don't like Hannity & Colmes, then why are you watching?

Colmes is in the enemy camp. The left LOATHES Fox News, especially now that they are successful. That Alan Colmes would be a party to such a sacrilege is considered a sell-out. Also, remember that, lately, the left has been trying to make the claim that the entire media isn't liberal enough.
To: Paul Atreides
Good point. I was told by a leftist recently that "FOX News is a bit to the right of Hitler." When I calmly pointed out that ole Adolph was a leftist (his party wasn't called the "National Socialists" for nothing), and that Nazism was a big-gov't operation, all I received in return was silence.
To: gcruse
Rush was highlighting Algore a while back who had a generally sneery attitude towards Colmes. He basically said that Colmes had sacrificed his integrity in order to be on Fox.
To: kcvl
Ah, it's the two party tit for tat, soap opera.......When in reality, they all bump bellies with each other and go to the same parties......
