Comedian, sister arrested at casino
NEW ORLEANS - Comedian Jamie Foxx and his sister were arrested early Saturday after allegedly refusing to leave a casino and then fighting with police officers called to escort them out, authorities said.
Foxx, 35, and Deidra Dixon, 25, refused to show identification when they entered Harrah's Casino about 4 a.m., then argued with security guards who ordered them to leave, said police Capt. Marlon A. Defillo. He said the two walked inside to a gambling table, then fought with police officers who were called to remove them.
Dixon struck one officer in the face, Defillo said. He said the officers used pepper spray and handcuffed them.
Foxx, booked with trespassing, battery on officers and resisting arrest, was released on $1,900 bond. Dixon, of Tarzana, Calif., was booked with trespassing, simple battery on officers and resisting arrest.
Foxx was in New Orleans for filming of the movie "Unchain My Heart." A woman who answered the phone for the company handling publicity for the film declined to comment.

He should have been arrested for making that movie. Frankly, if I were black, I would find it insulting that "black" movies so often center on casual sex, as if Hollywood figures that this is the only way to reach black audiences.
To: KantianBurke
Well he's had some interesting lines in said film:
Bunz: [angry at store owners] Ya see? This is why I'm in favor of the Immigration Reform Program, because you motha***** are straight off the boat, and you're already f****' with people!

Newsflash: you might want to bring ID when frequenting bars or casinos. These two goofs did everthing they could to screw up.
I'll bet the cops were real impressed when asked, "Do you know who I am?"

I've noticed that a lot of black-audience movies are written in such a manner that would destroy a white producer's/director's/writer's career.

As far as what is reported in the article, I FOR the guy.
I'm of the personal opinion that no law enforcement agency has the right to demand presentation of 'papers' as a requirement for freedom of movement unless there is probable cause.

"Probable cause" was the casino that he and his sister were in wanted him OUT of their business establishment. That's good enough for me.

If it was a private club, yes. An internationally franchised casino, no, not for me.
