Ventura County Freepers, friends and lurkers
There was some excellent material presented in this seminar and ideas I think will be very effective in getting the attention of our local newspaper and to the general community at large that a conservative voice does exist in the county. DD did a great job of distilling the important information presented on Saturday. I'm going to try to come up with some practical applications to use locally.

Bump for later, detailed reading.
Thanks to all for setting up and attending this very important event.
I was't able to attend, and regret missing it.

Thanks for the ping, Cyber.
Not only was the FRiva informative, but it was fun. We still have our certificates of completion suitable for framing!

Absolutely awesome report, David, but then I knew it would be, I sat next to you watching your thorough note-taking with envy and appreciation!
A little tiny bit to add about the Interview preparation grid, they called it a Leesburg Grid, and each ''square'' would likely in reality be an entire page. When it was done you would want to see which items in your strengths would easily contrast items that you can expect to be ''accused'' of. These strengths are likely to become key parts of your message. Also... Message = Emotion + Contrast (what's good about you & bad about opponent) + Connection (I'm the candidate whose most like you, opponent is on the fringe) + Credibility.
The parts about message struck me very strongly because I know at this point I am nothing but a bundle of undirected conservative energy and I need a little bit of focus, myself!
It was a great day, I wish all LA area freepers could have come. Great seeing Freepers I've met before and meeting new people like Rabid Republican, CyberAnt and HighRoadtoChina and Heartfelt thanks to RonDog, DoughtyOne, BobJ, DavidDennis, Leadership Institue, Matt Lewis, Jennifer Jacobs and Ted Hayes!
What a day! Don't miss Leadership Institute next chance you get.

A very funny bundle of conservative energy when dressed as Monica Lewdinski and FReeping der Slickmeister!

Thanks for your kind words about my note taking! I had exactly 1000 lines of information and it was a real challenge culling it down to something vaguely readable.
I'm amazed at how many organizations you're involved with, and I was impressed by your way of dealing with conflicts within them :-).

Wanted to let you know that I just viewed the PowerPoint presentation on the Santa Rosa Rallies - OUTSTANDING!!!! You guys really did a wonderful job. I hope some of our troops get their hands on this presentation.
Also ordered some new business cards from Vistaprint.com. They look very similar to yours - hope you don't mind that I was such a copycat!! I was just so impressed with how professional your card looked!

I just completed this course recently and was trying to find out more about these diagrams. There isn't much out there other other than this conversation, the online tool at www.yourpatriot.com and a few other minor comments that don't have a lot of meat on them. I am still looking for more examples of grids from other races. Does anyone have some of these they can post?
I will contact www.yourpatriot.com and see if I can get them to release some of the grids for their past clients, and will post those here if I can get permission. Thanks in advance for your help!
