Texas FReepers could benefit from reading this report on how to be more effective activists and deal with the media.

Wow! Great stuff!
(And Hillary Rodham's been taking
classes as well! You've listed her entire
political strategy in a nutshell!)
So...taking this into consideration,
were there any pointers on defeating
the opposition who practices the Art
of making the impossible possible??

Here's a ping to a great topic!

RonDog, maybe you can enlighten me about Mr. Hayes' "National Homeless Plan." I've found his and others' websites that link to it but what I've read is weak on specifics and big on federal government intervention. There are two things I know about federal government intervention -- it is wasteful and it almost always fails to achieve the objective. Do you have a link to more specifics on Hayes' plan? Thanks.

Now I'm really disappointed that I couldn't make it. It sounds like the kind of information that can be helpful in other areas.
Due to the fact that my oldest daughter's fiancee got hit with the mother of all state tax bills, they've had to change their wedding plans. They're getting married by a justice of the peace, then we're having the reception at the neighbor across the street. They can always renew their vows in Hawaii. Guess who's doing all the cooking for the bridal shower and reception. It'll be nice, and we'll have a good time. Wish I had time to pass out those recall Gray Davis petitions, that sob...

How did the CATWASH go?
I am going to save this thread and re-read it a few times. I was at a Brazosport Republican Women's Club party/meeting yesterday. We had State Senator Mike Jackson as our speaker, (man, he got grilled about home owner insurance, it is a HOT TOPIC here, with all the toxic mold cases and Farmer's insurance dropping policies and raising prices!) I noticed that there were many people there that I only see a few times a year and if not for name tags I would not know their names. There is no excuse for this. I am starting TODAY with THIS thread to do a better job for our conservative cause!
Thank you for all of your hard work!

From the thread:
What your opponent wants the audience to think about you
Bush is dumb
Bush doesn't have the experience to tackle tough issues
Bush is dumb like a Fox, like a Desert Fox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good post.
On doing the unexpected: FreeTheHostages was an anonymous CNN viewer at the White House Correspondence Association dinner on Saturday.
Your humble correspondent went as Helen Thomas.

Awesome job, DD!
A big Thank You RonDog and Bob J for making this thing happen.
I already have plans to get LI to Santa Rosa to do a 2-day training to jump start the conservatives and the Republicans for 2004!
When I get my pics developed (old technology), I'll post the them--the conspirators!
Great pleasure meeting all the wonderful FReepers!!!

"I was most impressed with Ted Hayes. At first I wasn't sure what he was going to bring to the party"
I agree. The media originally portrayed him as a liberal, but after having heard him speak several times I am convinced that he does what he does to try and undo the harm caused by liberals especially jesse jackson et. al.

The Republican Ladies' Club meeting/party I was at yesterday, at the home of Doris W. (which is where Tom DeLay's FIRST fund raiser was held!!!! MANY years ago, at my neighbor Dorris's house, we are PROUD of him!) it was so good to mix and mingle with other conservatives who KNOW that is going on, who THINK instead of FEEL. Glad you had a great turn out! I am going to use all of your tips you list in this thread.

Interesting post. Thank you for all the hard work in getting it uploaded.
Unfortunately, what you posted is also some of the most depressing stuff I have read in a long time. Truly, a better argument against democracy I cannot imagine...
