A man shot and killed his new wife less than a day and a half after their wedding and then turned the gun on himself, police said.
|
State police at Lamar said Frank W. Shope II, 34, married Lori Ann Spangler, 35, on Thursday afternoon, and they lived at the Camelot Estates Trailer Court in Mill Hall, Clinton County.
They were in a local bar Friday night but began to argue, police said. The dispute escalated after they got home, and a concerned neighbor called police.
Just before officers arrived, Shope got a .38 caliber revolver from his vehicle parked in the driveway and shot his new wife in the doorway of the mobile home at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.
He then shot himself in the head, they said.
Four state troopers arrived, eight minutes after the initial report, just after the shootings. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by Clinton County Coroner Donald G. Walker just before 1 a.m. Saturday, police said. |

He then shot himself in the head, they said. Somehow, I am reminded of the story of the (insert favorite target gorup here) who discovered his wife in bed with another man and ran in with a gun. When he pointed it at his own head and the discovered couple giggled, he replied "don't laugh, you're next!"

Sounds like a nice place.
Isn't that the place the Kennedys came from?
Now myself, I live in the Green Acres Moblle Home ESTATES!
Wouldn't catch me getting married though, too dangerous.
It's why I have a dog, all the companionship, none of the hassle.

I had one like that, didn't do it and it took 6 years to get shut of her.
That redhead is why I live with just a dog now.
Life is good.

As a matter of fact yes, sort of. I work with a guy who mail ordered a wife from the Phillipines that came with a kid attached. True story. (and a bad deal)
