In Reviews, Scholars Cite Bush's Discipline But Question Policies
PRINCETON, N.J., April 26 -- President Bush has not been particularly friendly to historians: He signed an executive order making it easier for officials to classify documents, gave former presidents a veto over the release of their papers, and in most cases allows his staff to give only the most sanitized accounts of life in his White House.
But the 43rd president is providing rich fodder for those historians, offering a colorful and elusive target for a raft of professors trying to explain how a semi-prepared Texan, armed with simple eloquence and prickly certitude, managed to elevate the office but alienate much of the world after the catastrophe of Sept. 11, 2001.

All you have to do is look at any irrational ideology to realize that truth based in reality means nothing to them.
What does mean something to the irrational is the essence of evil -- thinking hate is a virtue.
It is hatred that makes liberals feel good about themselves.

Hatred is considered acceptable by those taught to hate.
Virtues and vices, "ethics" so to speak, are learned things that reflect philosophies, and emotional responses can be seen to refect a person's ethics. Some people feel good, for instance, while saying and doing things steeped in envy and hate.
Have you ever noticed that the "messages" from socialist politicians are laced with envy and hate?
You'll probably agree that Socialism describes the politics inherent in the Democratic party, and now might be the time to start realizing that Capitalism describes the politics inherent in the Republican party.
Socialism as a political/economic system has proven to be disastrous and bad for people -- there is evil in it, that evil is taught extensively, and that evil is generally reflected in terms of envy, spite and hate.
Capitalism as a political/economic system has proven to be a wealth producion engine and good for people -- there is virtue in it, and that virtue is usually reflected in good will, generosity and magnanimity.
Philosophically, the words best describing Democratic and Republican politics, respectively, are Socialism and Capitalism.
Yes. And such people can be unbelievably cruel.
