Yeah that's strange about J.Andrews. She was at a pre-Christmas show that they have in the WH, right after 9-11. She was saying something about what a great show it was; and she sounded pretty complimentary toward the President. She said she was glad he had put the show on, especially being after 9-11. She said it was a way to heal people (and the country) after the tragedy(not exact words).

Check out Renee Fleming. I'm telling you, you'll love her voice.

IMHO the rest of her isn't bad either. :)

We were out for the evening so I missed the event. Was the esteemed cinematographer Michael Moore in attendance?

Agree. Even so Mr. President coulda carried the whole night alone.

I bet the son (King Vanity) will want to watch it for a third time tommarrow.

Also wasn't it nice not to have the camera staring at his crouch like Clinton had one year.

I had no idea that Kelsey Graham was conservative--

Oh yes, Kesley Graham was in the parade on Jan. 20, 2001.

Good morning. I totally missed the dinner last night, but this thread almost made up for it. Thank you all for your posts. Anyone have a clue if it will be broadcast again and if so, where and when? Thanks.

I am a fan of ragtime, early jazz, Billie H., Ella F., the Duke, the Count and Bix Biederback from Iowa, etc. Big Band standards are great too. How 'bout "The Divine" Miss Sarah Vaughn?

Check out Sidney Bechet if you haven't already! I'm hooked on him now. Any of his music, from the 20s up till he died in '52, is just super.

(Just slightly late to the thread, but I did watch a lot of the dinner last night!)

I can spell it, but now I can't pronounce it.

On Fox news they say, Cutter.

Rush still says Kat-are, which is how I always pronnounced it, and I have also heard it pronounced Katter.

Okay, where's Miss Language?

Barney sleeps with them. I have heard Laura say that in an interview. So what. You must not be a dog lover. I show dogs for a living so I am very much a dog lover. I have a retire champion Pekingese male who sleep and snores on my bed every night of his life. As long as you keep them clean, what's the harm???

I like dogs, but I don't own one, and so I guess you could say I'm not really a dog lover.
But, I don't like the idea of dog hairs getting on my clothes. Besides, they hog the bed.
I have a rabbit named Thumper, and she's so cute. :)
