(2003-04-24) -- In the wake of the Dixie Chicks attempt to blunt criticism by appearing mostly naked on a magazine cover, Academy Award-winning documentarist Michael Moore has agreed to appear shirtless on the cover of an unnamed periodical.
"There's nothing like a little skin to change the tone of the debate," said Mr. Moore. "Since I have more skin than most folks, it should really alter the mood of the discourse."
Among liberal political strategists, nudity is considered a highly-effective tactic. It's credited with almost single-handedly changing the image of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals from 'a bunch of wackos' to 'a bunch of naked wackos'.
Before the Iraq war, numerous groups of naked people were photographed spelling out the word 'Peace' with their bodies. Sources in the Pentagon say that those naked people lying on the ground forced the military to abandon its original 'shock and awe' strategy.
Congressional Democrat leaders Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Tom Daschle said they're waiting for the results of focus-group testing before they launch their own semi-clad protest about the President's tax plan.

I think it was FoxNews yesterday that had a pic of Moore....nude....
I was blinded. Thank goodness, at my age, I'm senile and can't remember things for very long periods of time and I tend to mutter and my mind wanders as I get lost in the myriad of thoughts. Michael who?

Too early to figure if it did the Ditz' any good to use this cheesecake/publicity stunt. Moore jumping on the bandwagon now? I hope this stunt goes so bad for these weirdos that they'll think twice before doing it again. The only to tell is NOT to buy the magazine.
