SARS Scare Reaches South Texas LAST UPDATE: 4/25/2003 5:22:41 PM Posted By: Julie Fike

The SARS border scare reached all the way to Laredo. Border agents in South Texas near Freer Friday arrested 17 illegal immigrants. Six of them were Chinese. Agents took the six to a doctor’s hospital in Laredo. They were tested for SARS. Three of the six were given a clean bill of health.

The results are still pending on the other three. Laredo Immigration Assistant Chief George Gunnoe says he believes the final test results later Friday night. Gunnoe says the chances of them having SARS is very low. If all are clear of the disease, severe acute respiratory syndrome, they will immediately face deportation charges.

"In addition we need legislation that punishes all social services, schools and employers who give benefits to, enrolls or hires illegals."

I'm with you. I volunteer at our local high school and can't believe the kids that can't speak one word of English. You can bet your bottom dollar they are illegals. AND our schools are overcrowded and facing financial difficulties.

If the bums we've elected can do such a miserable job of securring our borders, defending our sovereignty, protecting the citizenry and upholding our nation's laws and still 87% of FReepers responding support giving them a second term, we're doomed.

Look at the results of this last Freeper poll!

Only 2% of FReeper Republicans responding are disaffected! Are the rest blind to what's going on?

Tom Tancredo 2004!

I sure hope so. Here in Mo. I've seen more Mexican laborers around and who knows if they've been been given a criminal or medical backround check >>>>>>>>>

Things are even worse here in TX. My small town (pop. abt 18K) has really been invaded. We now have 2 "day labor" corners, growing gang/drug crimes, houses that fly the mex. flag daily. A trip to wal-mart will make you think you've
left the country.

Early 1990's we built a new elementary school, & added on to another. Census showed our pop. dropped by abt. 1,000
thru 2000. Yet, we are now told that we need TWO more elementary schools immediatly, & more bi-lingual teachers,
to ease the *over-crowding*. The hispanics, with their food stamps, free health care, etc, etc, & litters of kids, live much better than a "middle class" American couple struggling
to raise 1 or 2 kids, & PAY their bills.

PLEASE LEARN ENGLISH guys before coming up here!>>>>>>

Why should they ?? Our gov't has FORCED the TAXPAYERS to
supply their every need in the US to be handed to them in their own language.

I may yet find a way to stir up some trouble over that blatant piece of betrayal

Yes, our unions have stabbed us in the back, too. Sam Gumpers must be spinning in his grave right now.

I've come to the point where refuse to vote for any tax increase until something is done about illegals.

I don't believe the economy will every boom again as long as jobs are going overseas and immigrates flood in. It just doesn't add up. I believe George Bush may have trouble in 2004 if he doesn't realize this.

It breaks my heart to here whats going on down there in the border states. All I can do is try to vote for politicians who are willing to fight this and try to watch how I spend my money as to not participate in this dis-grace.

Well with a 10% fatality rate on a very contagious disease, I would think that San Francisco should be the scared place. Sars will cut through Aids patients like a hot knife through butter. A reduced strength immuntiy system and sars is a very bad combination. I bet the fatality rate will be well over 50 percent in Aids cases.

What is the Mexican solution? I mean, what would permanently remedy the solution, that doesn't involve us?
