As a defence secretary isn't that his job? I like what he said in the last press briefing. Why reporters wouldn't report what's happening insteading of what is going to happen?

That's been my gripe for the longest, reporters constantly trying to divine the next moves, and editorializing the news.

Considering his job it might have become a hazard of the position, not to say anything that could or may jeopardize the next missions. You have to admit Fred, the reporters that are in the briefings have so much animosity toward him and this administration, I wouldn't give an inch for them to mangle in their daily writeups.
