Brokaw is doing a great interview.. He asked the tough questions, but doesn't badger, accuse, or insult or malign the President's honesty.
Watching President Bush is the best weapon to use against the dwarfs running for the Democratic nomination. President Bush answers the questions forthrightly, without spin. He detailed the first day of the war, how the White House got the intelligence on Saddam's location. It was from "a very brave man", an Iraqi, and he's still alive.
President Bush spoke how he gained strength from the wives who lost husbands when he visited Marine bases. He said knowing lives will be lost because of commands he gives, is the hardest part of this job. You could feel he meant it.
And best of all? One of the first things President Bush did in this interview was to give credit to his National Security team. He listed each one, and told Brokaw how he had total confidence in their advice. PResident Bush is no glory hog!
