That was a very nice rally! The City of Camarillo did a great job! I guess there must have been 300 people there? Lots of media coverage - I think 2 L.A. stations and a Santa Barbara station. Also the local press. You could tell the military personnel were thrilled to have a rally in their honor.

It was great seeing all the freepers (although poor kittykares, a new freeper, didn't get to meet anyone)! I told her we would be by the Food Share booth but that was when I thought we were going to have one. She is going to try to make it to the Ventura Rally and I told her to look for us by the table with the blue tablecloth. If you guys are reading this post, say hi to kittykares so she doesn't feel so left out!

It was wonderful hearing those patriotic songs and watching so many people wave Old Glory.

Too bad I didn't get to meet any of you Freepers. But we shall meet someday.

It was a great rally, indeed! The military band, the songs and speeches, the color guard, the heart-felt enthusiasm of the crowd for the troops. A young man who had just returned from Kuwait came and personally thanked us for coming to show support....it was touching. The Santa Barbara channel did a nice piece on the 11:oo o'clock news, although brief, about our rally.....I liked the scences they filmed and the positive imagery.
A special hello to our new freeper, Kittykares........welcome. So nice to see everyone tonight

Welcome Val E. Girl!

What a fantastic rally! I saw a couple of people I knew, looked for RR but didn't see her. The Chaplain at the rally, is the Chaplain from my church. I was so proud to have him there! The City did a fantastic job of putting the rally together, it was very moving. I've been sick all week, I woke up this morning feeling worse. I think the night air last night got to me. But it was worth it, I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

Good article in today's (Sunday) paper on the City of Camarillo's rally Friday night. Mr. Shadden is quoted yet again!

I'm looking foward to see everyone today at the Ventura County Government Center. Finally, a day without high winds!!! Be sure to check in at the table with the blue tablecloth.

Thank you for pointing out the article. I am happy to see that even more people attended than RabidRepublican had estimated. You will note that on the next page was an article about a Democratic rally in Oxnard where only 100 people attended.

I was pleased at last to meet some Freepers at Ventura's rally today (Sunday). It was eye-opening for me to see how many cars honked and waved in support of us. And, of course, it was great to meet and talk with fellow conservatives. It is heartening to know that I am not so alone in my conservative beliefs.
