OPERATION INFINITE FREEP, COLORADO STYLE

Attention! Greeley and Loveland Freeps have changed!

WHO: All Freepers, the VFW, any other interested parties
WHAT: Support Our Troops Rally (Operation Infinite Freep)
WHY: To show our troops that we are behind them and to counter the anti war protesters across the street.
How You Can Help:Show up and bring a sign that indicates Support for our Troops. If you don't have a sign, we have plenty to go around. Bring an American flag to wave proudly.

These Freeps take place Every Saturday. Try to make at least one of them!

Ft. Collins
WHERE: North East corner of Mulberry and College WHEN:Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Loveland
WHERE: US-34 and 287 WHEN:1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Longmont
WHERE: South East corner of 6th and Main WHEN:2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Greeley
WHERE:35th Ave. and 16th St. (next to the Weld County Veterans Memorial)

I went to start the Wife's car this morning and COOLANT/WATER poured out of the TAILPIPE!

Engine block's cracked. Crappy day, yet again...

GREELEY REPORT:
In Greeley it was nice to not have a 35mph wind to fight this week, it was just four of us out to support the troops this time. The cars honking did not let us down , the cars coming south after seeing the peace niks are really letting us know that they support the troops!! They start honking two blocks away. They must have some anger to vent ater seeing the peace niks. Trteamer you need to get away next week and I will give you the sign to go and really piss them off. The photos did not come out so no post this week.

LOVELAND REPORT:
The numbers were down a little but fivetoes made it up with the bullhorn. The cars going north and east and west really got into the bullhorn when fivetoes was having a contest to see which direction was honking the most. It was a greatr day of FReeping and it ended well with the report form cardcarrying member on how Longmont went and how the fight in Ft. Collins went down. The peace niks never will learn not to hit a car load of people that disagree with them,It could get ugly for them. GOD BLESS THE TROOPS AND THE USA!!

I look at it this way: My luck {along with fellow patriot's} has been great for so long -especially since Iraq's liberation- the cycle must continue. Whenever something bad happens, something good will happen soon.

I think of it as yet another challenge.

Beautiful weather today, and beautiful responses from passersby in Northern Colorado. Also, some excitement in Fort Collins .....

FORT COLLINS

We had around 30 Troop Supporters today, down from our high of around 80 of three or four weeks ago. But for the first time in many months we outnumbered The Dark Side! (They had been up to maybe 150 or 200 just as the war was starting).

Around 1:45 a guy drove by the Peacebot side of the street. He yelled over to us something like "You tell 'em!" and said something to the Peacebots that they must not have appreciated. Then he drove around the block and came back. He was stopped at the light in the right turn lane apparently having "a frank exchange of opinions" with them, when all of a sudden he leaped out and ran right into them with fists flying. I heard later that this was due to some Peacebot(s) pounding on his vehicle. Perhaps he didn't appreciate that? Anyway, I guess they must have gotten him wrestled to the ground. I saw almost none of it due to the view being blocked from where I was. He took off a short time later and that was it.

There was supposed to have been a police vehicle parked in the lot behind the Peacebots the whole hour, or at least that's what the Vets were recently told ..... so who knows where the cops were this whole time.

One fun thing today was when a young lady who was on her way from her home in Cheyenne to her church in Loveland happened to drive by and notice us. She went to the nearest store and came back with 3 cases of pop for us all. Thank you!

The Dark Side. Note the severe drop in numbers - much greater than the drop on our side. Guy on left is the only member of their regular band - "Bongos For Bozos" - to show up today. To the right is a longtime regular of theirs who gets his jollies out of wearing a cowboy costume to every rally. Go figure. (At other times, regulars on The Dark Side have included a guy in a Dr. Seuss type of costume with an outlandish hat, a "grip reaper" character with a hooded black robe and scythe, and so on). Next to the right is a woman who surprisingly was carrying an original unaltered tiny US flag! I think the guy in the cowboy costume must be lecturing her --- "We don't display that kind of flag around here - it's just too ..... well ..... jingoistic." His sign said, "Bush is a Liar .... yadda yadda yadda ...." On far right is another Lefty Loonie with a sign "Create Dept Of Peace ... yadda yadda Impeach Bush yadda yadda...."

Very tired little Freeper. She was at an alleged "Slumber" party last night. Yeah, right. But in spite of it all, she still wanted to come to the Ft. Collins and Longmont rallies.

I and my daughter were 8 min. late, yet there was nobody on our corner (SE). But the mother of the AC130 pilot showed up at the same moment, and Mollynme arrived soon after. On the NE there was a couple supporting our Troops - he came over to introduce himself. They have been here every Saturday for a month or so, and he said his wife comes out here every weekday after work. Way to go, guys!!

When I walked past the crowd of people eating on the outside patio of The Pumphouse, some of them noticed the signs I was carrying and a lot of them cheered and clapped and whistled. They obviously wanted to see an alternative viewpoint out there today!

Besides our core group of 4, there were a number of kids who came up to help us out today. First, some Little Leaguers came and offered to hold signs. They were REALLY getting into it too. They would yell things across the street like, "Hey! We're winning!!" Heh heh. Later when their parents or coaches left with them, a group of 2 or 3 girls came to offer help. And when they also had to leave with their rides, a second group of Little Leaguers came to hold the signs. It's wonderful what one tiny band of dedicated people can do, just by showing up and forming the nucleus around which other people gather!

For the life of us, we could NOT figure out what this guy's sign is supposed to mean! It reads "4TH REICH RANKS RIGHT" Say whut?? Does anyone have a clue what he's trying to say? Do you have to be stoned on any particular drug first before contemplating the meaning? Notice the cop car. He later parked it on the very narrow median after some over-enthusiastic Little Leaguers took signs to the median (we called them back immediately). I thanked him (the cop, not the "4th Reich" looneytune) when we left.

I was going to call over to this guy, "We agree! We should stomp out madness in the U.S.! We pay buku taxes to build psychiatric hospitals, but they aren't any good unless you check yourself in" - But I was feeling charitable today.

what is their big beef against President Bush?

It's got nothing to do with the war as near as I can tell. They just hate GWB, that's all. The war is a convenient excuse for them to express their hatred. They hate him with a blind, singular, passionate hatred that is so intense that it borders on psychotic. Look at how many of their signs are about President Bush and nothing else. Nationwide a small number of leftists are starting to admit to something we suspected all along --- they were actually hoping for the war to be an absolute disaster with huge numbers of U.S. casualties, because that would guarantee no re-election for GWB next year. They would have gladly traded rivers of American blood to see their own political agenda advanced - something ironically that they are accusing GWB of. (Or perhaps, NOT so ironically).

We must continue OPERATION INFINITE FREEP especially in support of President Bush's apperances on the campaign trail next year. Great writeup on this weekends past events. Me and my girlfriend were still trying to grasp what the hell happend with the Gray GMC. We figured if they want to act very crazy like that and so on, we woulden't need them to join our side. Other then that, I got fried in Loveland in the sun and so did she. Fivetoes was ralleyin up the people in the cars with is PA, it was great. I have pictures of the Loveland ralley, if you want them give me a shout.
