But obviously Blair took Bush's advice, not Clinton's.
I bet Blair wasn't seeking Clinton's advice, instead, Clinton was trying to insert himself and cause trouble, abusing his previous friendship with Blair, and Blair was too polite to tell Clinton where to go.
Remember Clinton had secret meeting with the Saudi prince too, when the Prince visited Bush at Crawford. Clinton just can't get used to not being president.
I bet he figured, that if Gore got elected, the Clintons could still pull the strings in the background. Bush's election denied Clinton another 8 years of presidency.

I am convinced that Bill Clinton wants to be the next Secretary General of the UN (the ultimate manifestation of his King-of-the-World complex). He, more than any other person in this scenario, has a vested interest in keeping the UN not only relevant but at the critical center of all things that happen. Every one of Bill's suggestions for inspections, etc., was wrong--just like his eight years as yahoo-in-chief.
I am disappointed that Blair would even consult such a loser for a second opinion. Until tonight, I was almost beginning to respect Blair as someone with backbone-- Time will only tell whether this has been a real growth experience for Blair or not.
