I am convinced that Bill Clinton wants to be the next Secretary General of the UN (the ultimate manifestation of his King-of-the-World complex). He, more than any other person in this scenario, has a vested interest in keeping the UN not only relevant but at the critical center of all things that happen. Every one of Bill's suggestions for inspections, etc., was wrong--just like his eight years as yahoo-in-chief.

I am disappointed that Blair would even consult such a loser for a second opinion. Until tonight, I was almost beginning to respect Blair as someone with backbone-- Time will only tell whether this has been a real growth experience for Blair or not.

I think Blair just tolerated Clinton, he obviously didn't really listen to him, I am sure Clinton advised Blair to stop supporting Bush, but Blair never wavered.

Yes, I agree, I read that Clinton wants to be President of the UN.
I also think that just as Carter worked secretly with the Russians, against Republicans, I would not put it past Clinton, that he worked with the French, and also tried to turn Blair against us, by advising him to do nothing without UN approval. Clinton wanted to see Bush fail.
