Well argued. But the fallacy in this argument is that some ideas, by their nature, are incompatible with the existence of a free society, even if a majority vote for them. Slavery's probably the best example.

So I'll throw the challenge back at you: if the majority voted that all females undergo female circumcision, that's okay with you? All ideas, so long as there is general social agreement, are equally welcome in the legislature?
