I hope this story is NOT correct. If it is, a lot of people are seriously in need of spines.

I was the one proposing him for Senate leader above Bill Frist, he will never resign his leadership post.
About a 'Dixie Chicks' like apology, I don't know.

No, this is just General Rove working to minimize the collateral damage and get it off the headlines.

The GOP is not caving at all, just smart enough to know that the story will go away if Republicans stop talking about it.

I should have listened to you a long time ago. You were right. I was nervous about all of the suggested candidates because of Racicot. The only candidates were ones that had recently met with a gay group (including Santorum). Normally, I wouldn't care who they met with, but knowing Racicot is pro-gay, it bothered me.
You were right. I'll listen to you better next time.

It's unsourced..
But hey, people were only too happy to let Trent Lott get thrown to the wolves.
Now everyone is fair game.
BTW, I fail to see why minorities like gays are so highly sought after. Blacks, same story..
WHY AREN't POLITICIANS targeting the 50% of people who don't vote, as opposed to running round after fringe groups and kissing their behinds.

As long as McInsane is the only one out there in the island asking for an apology in the Seante we can keep this from being a forest fire.
