What did he go through that might approach rationalizing him killing his daughters and then himself? Sounds like he would sooner go after the boyfriend than off his children. Creepy subject.

It's too complex to cover in a few paragraphs. I can just say it has to do with the fact that the family court system is the antithesis of justice. His solution to the problem was wrong, but the system really does make people crazy. What it does to the male psyche, in particular, is very dangerous.

I had a very hard time with what this man did, until about ten years later I had to deal with the same system. I now at least empathise with his feelings, while not his actions.

The family court system so pummels a mans sense of responsibility and control over his own destiny that some WILL act out in ways such as this. Many showed no violent tendencies beforehand.

It's one of those "walk a mile in his shoes" things.
